September is coming up fast, and with September comes our fall programming! And we have some exciting stuff coming up.
Bible Study for all ages begins on Wednesday, September 18th. Our Fall Bible Study will focus on the book of Ruth, and will run for four weeks, ending on Wednesday, October 9th. The Study will meet at 5:30pm in Fellowship Hall.
Book Study will pick up when Bible Study ends. Our Fall/Winter book study will begin on Wednesday, October 16th and run through Wednesday, December 11th. We’ll be reading The Simple Faith of Mister Rogers: Spiritual Insights From the World’s Most Beloved Neighbor.
Confirmation Classes for eighth graders begin after worship on Sunday, October 6th. The first batch of classes will run through November 24th. We will take a break over December and pick up again in January. Contact Pastor Chris for more information or to make sure your child is included.
Faith in Motion’s fall session begins on Wednesday, September 11th and will run for six weeks, ending on Wednesday, October 16th. Second through fourth graders meet from 5:30pm to 6:30pm; fifth through seventh graders meet from 6:30pm to 7:30pm. Both groups meet at the Central Intermediate School gym. Faith and motion brings young people together for learning, fellowship, and physical activity. Youth begin each session learning about the values of Christianity, and then move onto a physical activity.
Family Movie Night will continue on first Fridays at 6:30pm (this fall, that’s September 6th, October 4th, November 1st, and December 6th). Our license prohibits us from publicizing the name of each movie outside of the church, so come to worship to learn what we’re showing!
I Have Questions will continue at noon on September 28th and November 23rd. On September 28th, Pastor Chris will present on Genesis and Evolution. On November 23rd, he’ll present on the question, “What is the United Church of Christ?”
Sunday School for pre-schoolers through fifth graders begins after worship on Sunday, September 15th. The Fall session will run through October 20, and will use An Illustrated Invitation as its curriculum.
