Special information about COVID-19
First Congregational United Church of Christ is committed to protecting the health of our members, visitors, and community. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, most of our events have either moved online or been postponed indefinitely.
You can find our what has happened to our events and activities below. And please remember, the church is not a building… it is a community. We are still being the church in the world, even if we cannot gather together in person.
Worship is an important part of our life together. In order to practice social distancing while also enjoying this time together, we have adopted the following:
Sermon manuscripts and recordings will continue to be available online. These resources are usually available by 3pm on Sundays. You can find the manuscripts and recordings on our website here. You can also download the recordings via our podcast.
We are committed to the continued faith formation of our youth. Sunday school, youth groups, and other youth activities are on hiatus at least as long as the pandemic lasts. In the meantime, we invite you to us these resources:
Be the Story is a free Sunday School curriculum available via Facebook. They are simple and easy to prepare for. With some modification, you may be able to use them at home.
Picture the Bible is a free Holy Week faith formation resource available for download from First Congregational United Church of Christ in River Falls, Wisconsin.
For now, we are continuing to have our normal office hours, with the exception of Friday, when the office is closed. Pastor Chris continues to be available through all of the usual means.
Business meetings for the Council, Boards, and Leadership Teams should be postponed or held via conference call or videoconference. If you would like to use the church’s resources for these meetings, please contact Pastor Chris.
