Special information about COVID-19
First Congregational United Church of Christ is committed to protecting the health of our members, visitors, and community. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made important changes to how we practice gathering together.
We are committed to being the church and protecting the health of our community. Our sanctuary is currently closed. But we are still worshipping on Sunday mornings. There are three ways that you can join us for worship.
In our parking lot. We are gathering in our parking lot for live radio services at 9:30 on Sunday mornings. Stay in your car—or sit in our green space with your own chair and portable radio—and listen on 1610 AM.
On Facebook and YouTube. Enjoy a prerecorded worship service at 9:30 on Sunday mornings (or any time after that) on Facebook or YouTube.
Through our podcast. Our weekly podcast includes worship and is available on ITunes, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Podbean.
Our office is still open Monday through Thursday.
We are committed to the continued faith formation of our youth. Sunday school, youth groups, and other youth activities are on hiatus at least as long as the pandemic lasts. In the meantime, we invite you to us these resources:
Be the Story is a free Sunday School curriculum available via Facebook. They are simple and easy to prepare for. With some modification, you may be able to use them at home.
Picture the Bible is a free Holy Week faith formation resource available for download from First Congregational United Church of Christ in River Falls, Wisconsin.
For now, we are continuing to have our normal office hours, with the exception of Friday, when the office is closed. Pastor Chris continues to be available through all of the usual means.
We are holding hybrid business meetings for the Council, Boards, and Leadership Teams. Members of those committees may attend in-person or online.
