Holy Week And Easter
Holy Week marks the last week of Jesus’s ministry. During this week, we follow Jesus on his journey through betrayal, arrest, trial, and crucifixion. The week culminates with Good Friday, the day when Jesus was killed by crucifixion… the day when people thought that the story had ended.
On Easter Sunday, we celebrate that the story is not over. Through his resurrection, Christ defeated sin and death. Hallelujah!
On Maunday Thursday, we mark the institution of the Lord’s Supper and Christ’s betrayal by Judas. We will worship and celebrate communion with our friends from DeWitt’s United Methodist Church.
Good Friday marks Christ’s trial and death. We will worship with our friends at DeWitt’s United Methodist Church. Traditionally, this is a tenebrae service, with readings and somber hymns.
Easter Sunday celebrates Christ’s resurrection! Join us for worship, communion, and a rousing congregational rendition of the Hallelujah Chorus! We will have a sunrise service at 7:30am and our traditional service at 9:30am. The services will be largely the same.
